Our vision is for the social care workforce across Cambridgeshire to feel able and supported to build a ‘career in care’ which will lead to better outcomes for the people we support.

Cambridgeshire County Council have partnered with the Care Professional Academy to bring the benefits and advantages that the Academy offers, free of charge, to all care staff and providers across the county under the banner of CARE.

Cambridgeshire County Council have comprehensive learning and development opportunities for those working in social care in Cambridgeshire. Courses range from medication administration, infection prevention and control, MCA and DoLs, First aid, safeguarding, managing and supervising learners, moving and handling and nutrition and hydration amongst others.

We have developed an innovative programme aimed at supporting staff new to the Health and Social Care sector as well as supporting those in senior positions that are assessing the Care Certificate.
