Acceptance of terms and conditionsΒ
The Care Certificate Programme is delivered by the Cambridgeshire Academy for Reaching Excellence (CARE) which is part of Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC).
Throughout this document the terms ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to Cambridgeshire County Council and the terms ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to the learner.Β
By undertaking learning and development activity, you are acknowledging that you have received authorisation from the relevant person at your organisation:Β
- To attend/receive learning and development activity as stated
- For the expenditure
- Acceptance of these terms and conditions
We reserve the right to refuse or curtail any learning and development activity if you fail to satisfy the course pre-requisites or requirements.Β The Care Certificate Programme is associated with the learner and is not transferrable to any other person. Learners have 20 weeks to complete the programme, their account will be deactivated once complete. Learners can request a break in learning and pick up where they left off to allow for long-term sickness.
Data ProtectionΒ
All personal data we collect from you complies with the data protection principles, as stated in the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and Cambridgeshire County Councilβs (CCC) Data Protection Registration with the Information Commissionerβs Office; for full list please check the Information Commissioners Office. Β
The personal data we collect may be held as an electronic record on data systems managed by CCC or as a paper record. The records are only seen by staff who need the personal data so they can do their job. Further information can also be found in ourΒ Privacy and Data Protection Statement.Β

β―PaymentΒ and Charging Policy
Full payment must be made in advance at the point of booking via this form. If your company requires an invoice to be raised, your account will not be created until we have received payment via invoice which will delay your access to this offer.Β
Cancelling in advanceΒ
If you are unable to attend a course that you are booked onto, you will be able to cancel your own place via your account up to 3 days prior to the session. If you are cancelling less than 3 days before, please contact us via Learning&Development@cambridgeshire.gov.ukβ―or 01480 373534 to cancel your place.Β
Non-attendanceΒ on the day
If you are unable to attend a face-to-face session on the day itself, please ensure that you or a member of your organisation contacts the Learning and Development viaβ―Learning&Development@cambridgeshire.gov.ukβ―or 01480 373534 in advance where possible.Β You will not be issued a refund and will need to re-book paying the full cost via our sister site: CCC Our Development Site
Course start timesΒ
Face-to-face learning activities and webinars will start at the time advertised and you are required to be ready to start by that time. In the event you arrive after the advertised start time and allowing you to join the course would disrupt the learning of others on the course, we reserve the right to refuse admission if you are more than 15 minutes late. In all such cases, the course cost is non-refundable, and the learner will need to re-book via the CCC Our Development siteΒ paying full price.
β―Changes and cancellations by Cambridgeshire County Council
- We reserve the right to cancel a learning and development activity, giving as much notice as possible. If events arise beyond our control which makes delivery of the learning and development activity impractical, we will endeavour to offer alternative arrangements. In no circumstance will CCC reimburse or cover the costs incurred for travel, subsistence, parking fees, supply cover or any other associated costs.
- We reserve the right to alter learning and development activity dates and venues without liability.
- Our learning and development activity resources and training cannot be relied upon for legal interpretation. We cannot accept responsibility for the actions of learners or those of other people reading the learning and development activity resources or interpretation or take responsibility for any loss incurred as a result of relying on the training or the learning and development activity resources.
- In order to respond rapidly to changes in market demands, technological advancements, and to constantly update and improve our training services, we also reserve the right to alter learning and development activity content at any time without notice.

The names, images and logos identifying CCC are proprietary marks of CCC. Copying our logos and/or any other third-party logos accessed via this website is not permitted without prior approval from the relevant copyright owner.Β
